Requirements

Vaccinations are required for this hospital position.
Work may involve duties in the hospital morgue.
Applicants must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be able to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and actions taken during patrols or incident response.
Work collaboratively with facility staff and/or local authorities as needed to address security-related matters and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
