About The Position

As a Security Guard - Manufacturing Patrol Driver in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a secure environment. Your active presence and exceptional customer service will contribute to a positive experience for everyone onsite. This position requires driving responsibilities, offering you the opportunity to interact with various aspects of the location while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience are required.
At least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related incidents encountered during patrols.
Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal team members and client personnel to maintain a secure environment.
Assist in controlling access to the premises by monitoring entry and exit points.
Complete detailed and accurate reports related to security-related incidents, observations, and patrols as required by site procedures.
