As a Security Guard - Mall Patrol Driver in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a vibrant retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for all visitors. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a positive experience, while your commitment to Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture will shine through. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for navigating the property, responding to calls for service, and providing outstanding customer service and communication at every opportunity.

Requirements

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the retail or mall location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations within the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or security-related concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Communicate with Allied Universal management and site personnel regarding observations and activities as needed.
Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with company and site protocols.
