As a Security Guard - Mall Patrol Driver in Skokie, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will conduct routine driving patrols to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment for guests and staff. You will remain visible throughout assigned areas, assist with customer service needs, and communicate professionally. Requirements

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Primarily driving post is preferred.
Guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel and/or law enforcement as necessary.
Interact with store employees and customers to provide assistance and information as needed while maintaining a visible presence.
Follow post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management to support the overall security-related objectives of the location.
