Job Description As a Security Guard - Hospital Rounds in Tarrytown, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned healthcare locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a professional presence. Your role includes conducting regular patrols, remaining visible, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment within the healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the business interior and surrounding perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for unusual conditions.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or patients as needed while performing patrol duties.
- Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns according to Allied Universal and client site requirements.
- Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances and exits during patrols, helping to maintain order within the healthcare location.
