Job Description As a Security Officer – Hospital Patrol Rounds in Monroeville, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, assisting staff and visitors, and delivering exceptional customer service. Requirements
- Vaccines are required for this hospital position.
- Applicants must be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
- Applicants must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and adhering to site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and along the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences within the healthcare location.
- Assist visitors, patients, and staff by providing directions and responding to inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
- Support emergency response activities as required, including assisting with evacuations and coordinating with public response personnel when appropriate.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports on all security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
