Job Description As a Security Officer – Hospital Rounds in Natrona Heights, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and communication. Your role supports a caring environment by responding to situations as needed, embracing teamwork, agility, and integrity as part of our innovative and people-first culture.
Requirements
- Vaccines are required for this hospital position.
- This hospital position may involve work in the morgue.
- This hospital position may require restraining individuals.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related concerns, or maintenance needs within the premises to appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to support a secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
- Follow all company and location protocols related to access control, visitor management, and incident documentation.
