As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist staff and visitors with clear communication, and document activity using site technology. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • At least 6months-1 year of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • Must have updated vaccinations for covid vaccine and flu shot is required to work at medical-field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting, and coordination with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify hazards, and report maintenance or operational concerns.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, assist with visitor management, and help to deter unauthorized entry while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete routine documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and patrol activity reports, and communicate key updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
