Job Description As a Security Guard - Hospital Grounds Patrol in Spencer, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a healthcare location. Your role involves interacting with staff and visitors, providing customer service, and responding to incidents as needed. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities in a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting staff, visitors, and patients as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or potential security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control, visitor management, and monitoring of entrances and exits in accordance with site-specific protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to support a welcoming and secure atmosphere for all individuals on site.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and incident reports as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
