About The Position

As a Security Guard - Hospital Entry Patrol in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your visible presence and proactive approach will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service. This position requires driving responsibilities as part of your patrol duties, allowing you to interact with a diverse community and contribute to a caring, team-focused culture built on integrity.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
A New York State Security Guard License is required.
At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies within a healthcare environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure atmosphere for staff, patients, and visitors.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Maintain detailed records of daily activities, observations, and incidents as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as needed to support a positive environment.
Remain alert to potential security-related hazards or unusual conditions and report findings according to site procedures.
