About The Position

As a Security Guard - Healthcare Rover Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, and support access control while remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors, provide customer service, and document observations. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with directions and wayfinding, and report suspicious or unusual behavior according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with facility staff and/or public emergency responders as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports of observations, incidents, and corrective actions; communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
