About The Position

As a Security Guard - Government Patrol Coverage Full-Time in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for any irregularities.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations during each shift.
Communicate professionally and promptly with Allied Universal management and site representatives regarding incidents and security-related concerns.
Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and reporting any unauthorized access attempts.
Support emergency response activities as directed by site policies and Allied Universal procedures.
