Job Description As a Security Guard - Unarmed Government Patrol Full-Time in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with visitors and staff, and provide exceptional customer service while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
X ray screening experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.
Observe and report any suspicious activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
Maintain detailed and accurate logs and/or reports of daily activities and incidents.
Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to provide assistance and information as needed.
Follow all Allied Universal and client site protocols while performing assigned duties.
