As a Security Guard - Government Lobby Monitor in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will be the first point of contact, welcoming visitors and assisting with access control. You will help to deter security-related incidents through attentive monitoring and exceptional customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and/or credentials as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Document and report security-related incidents, unusual activities, and/or emergencies as they occur.
• Assist with visitor management, including signing in guests and directing them to appropriate areas.
• Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with all individuals at the location, providing information or assistance as needed.
• Support emergency response activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.
