As a Security Guard - Government Licensed Patrol Weekdays in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements
- A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack are present.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor the premises for any unusual activity and report observations according to established protocols.
- Assist visitors and employees by providing information and directions as needed.
- Collaborate with local authorities and Allied Universal management when required during incidents and/or emergencies.
- Complete required documentation and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
