About The Position

As a Security Guard - NYS Licensed Government Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents as required by site protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal personnel and site staff to address security-related concerns.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials of individuals entering the location as directed by site policies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required.
  • Follow all site-specific instructions and procedures to support the client's security-related needs.
