As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, providing a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, interacting with the public, and delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Baton certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Work closely with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as required by the location's protocols.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of patrols, incidents, and daily activities according to Allied Universal's standards.
- Adhere to all site-specific and company guidelines while performing security-related duties at the government location.
