Requirements

A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate escalation protocols as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and to observe any unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and promptly report any security-related concerns, hazards, or incidents to the appropriate authorities or Allied Universal management.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as required in the event of an incident.
Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain proper care and control of assigned equipment, including firearms, in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific policies.
