As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to situations as needed, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military roles is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
  • Report and document security-related incidents, hazards, and unusual activity according to site protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed during incidents.
  • Operate communication devices to stay informed of site conditions and coordinate with Allied Universal management and team members.
  • Follow all client and Allied Universal procedures for armed patrol assignments, maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations.
