Job Description
As a Security Guard - Foot Patrol Officer in Hillsboro, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. Bring a customer-service mindset while documenting observations and reporting concerns. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed at a technology and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, loading areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points by verifying credentials, directing visitors and contractors, managing visitor logs, and reporting access issues per site policy.
• Complete detailed activity reports and incident documentation, operate CCTV and other monitoring systems as assigned, and coordinate with on-site teams and/or local responders when required.
