As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support store teams and guests with clear communication and customer service. You will complete routine patrols, document observations, and respond to concerns with professionalism. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and shoppers by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor, entrances and exits, stock areas, and the exterior perimeter, as directed by post orders.
- Observe and report unusual activity, potential policy violations, and conditions that may contribute to theft and/or loss, helping to deter incidents through a visible presence and timely communication.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, requesting assistance as needed, and completing required incident documentation.
- Monitor access points and customer traffic flow, assist with store closing and opening routines as assigned, and maintain communication with site management and dispatch using approved methods.
