As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, assist guests and tenants with professional customer service, and communicate clearly with team members and site contacts. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Bring an agile, reliable mindset, act with integrity, and support a caring culture built on teamwork.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and exterior perimeter, as conditions vary by location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disturbances, medical calls, and unwanted activity while requesting additional support as needed.
Help to deter unwanted activity by maintaining a high-visibility presence, monitoring for suspicious behavior, and communicating observations to site leadership and/or local authorities when appropriate.
Complete detailed reports of daily activities, patrol findings, and incident response actions, and communicate updates to the Allied Universal account management team and/or property staff.
