As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service. You will conduct routine rounds, respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with site leaders and first responders. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation support and reporting concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance issues for follow-up.
  • Monitor access points and public areas as assigned, assisting staff and visitors with directions and information while observing for unusual activity.
  • Complete routine documentation such as activity logs, incident reports, and shift pass-down information, and/or coordinate with site personnel and emergency responders when needed.
