Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the utility location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or security-related concerns within the facility and surrounding area.
Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors to provide assistance and uphold site policies.
Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding security-related incidents, patrol activities, and observations.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed for incidents that occur on site.
Maintain a visible and approachable presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to those at the location.
