As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and provide customer-focused support to employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of utility facility buildings, yards, and perimeter areas, documenting observations and unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and utility-related restricted areas by verifying authorization, directing visitors, and reporting suspicious activity per protocol.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including taking initial action, requesting assistance, and completing required reports.
  • Operate site communications and security-related equipment such as radios, phones, and/or electronic reporting tools, and maintain accurate shift logs and incident documentation.
