Requirements

Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Hold a Level III armed certification for Texas roles only.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, or other unwanted activities.
Carry and maintain control of assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies and all applicable laws and regulations.
Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities during the shift.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when required.
Assist with crowd control and help to deter disruptions during peak business hours or special events at the location.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members.
