As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This armed post involves conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

Possess an armed guard card or license.
Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR and/or first aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
Communicate and collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as required by site protocols.
Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of activities and observations during shifts.
Assist visitors and employees with inquiries and provide directions or guidance as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
Remain alert to potential security-related risks and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
