Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. This is an armed post, where you will play an important role in supporting a caring culture that values teamwork, reliability, and integrity, making a real impact every day.

Requirements

Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a Level III armed certification for Texas.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including the business interior and perimeter.
Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns to Allied Universal and/or site management.
Assist with access control by verifying credentials and/or authorizations as required.
Help to deter disruptive behavior, theft, or other criminal activity through a visible presence and thorough patrols.
Document incidents and/or suspicious activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency personnel when necessary.
