As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor access points and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a strong, visible presence. You will interact with visitors and staff, deliver exceptional customer service, and respond to access control needs. Requirements

Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess an active Department of Defense Top Secret Clearance.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Have 6 or more months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Assist with access control procedures at the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals.
Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or security-related incidents.
Provide customer service by answering questions, giving directions, and assisting visitors as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to observe for unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
Document observations and incidents according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
Follow all emergency response procedures as outlined for the government facility.
Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and/or site staff to support a secure environment.
