You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with clear communication and customer-focused service. Working with campus partners, you will document observations, support access control, and contribute to a caring, integrity-driven team that stays agile, reliable, and innovative every shift.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, faculty, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational campus location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and request assistance from campus partners and/or public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor entry procedures as assigned, including checking identification and/or credentials, verifying authorization, and documenting access activity in accordance with post orders.
• Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate key observations to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts, and assist with directing foot and/or vehicle traffic during events, deliveries, and peak activity periods.
