As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols of yards, docks, and facility areas, maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will monitor activity, document observations, assist with access control, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services and completing required notifications.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, yards, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Control access at gates and entrances by verifying identification, coordinating visitor and contractor check-in and/or check-out, and directing traffic flow in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, communicate key information during post handoff, and use required systems such as radios, phones, and/or access control tools.
