Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Aero/Defense Patrol in Marietta, GA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in an aerospace and defense setting, you will actively monitor and patrol the assigned location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This is an armed and driving post, where you will interact with staff and visitors while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license as required by law.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activities and/or breaches.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within an aerospace and defense environment.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential threats and/or suspicious activities.
  • Report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or unusual occurrences to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Assist with emergency evacuations and/or drills as required by site protocol.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal management and site leadership to address security-related concerns and/or operational needs.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to evolving situations in a high-security environment.
