Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol in Leesburg, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Patrol hospital buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations on a regular and random basis to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards, unusual conditions, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local law enforcement as needed.
• Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and use of force guidelines; complete required checks and documentation.
• Document patrols, incidents, and/or other security-related activities in written reports and electronic systems, and communicate key information during shift briefings and handoffs.
