As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols. Requirements

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of individuals entering or exiting as per site-specific policies.
  • Assist with visitor and contractor management, maintaining accurate logs of entries and exits.
  • Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and offering directions or assistance to personnel and visitors.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any security-related irregularities, such as property damage, theft, or unusual behavior, to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, according to site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with site staff to address security-related needs and maintain a secure environment for all personnel and assets.
