Job Description As a Security Guard - Chemical Entry Monitor in Sulphur, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional assigned to an access control post within a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your role will include engaging with personnel, providing outstanding customer service, and using technology to support daily operations. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the site, verifying credentials of personnel and visitors entering the chemical and petrochemical location.
Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to access control, including checking identification and maintaining visitor logs.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, contractors, and visitors with inquiries related to access and security-related matters.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and observe for unusual activity.
Support emergency response activities as directed by site policies and Allied Universal protocols.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to established procedures.
