About The Position

As a Security Guard - Distribution Center Access in Edmond, OK, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
Assist with the implementation of site-specific security-related procedures and policies as directed by Allied Universal and the client.
Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by addressing inquiries and assisting with directions or site information.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual circumstances to the appropriate personnel.
Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations and/or lockdowns when required.
Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal management to maintain a secure environment for all occupants and assets.
