You will manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, greet drivers and staff, document activity, and help to deter unauthorized access through a visible presence and clear communication. You will support security-related protocols with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach in an agile, reliable, and innovative environment.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at gates, lobbies, and/or guard stations by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and documenting entries and exits per site procedures.
  • Screen and direct employees, visitors, and drivers, including coordinating vehicle check-in, trailer check-in, and/or dock access while maintaining orderly traffic flow.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
