About The Position

As a Security Guard - Credit Union Foot Patrol in Clifton, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support staff and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting, while using basic technology to document activity. Requirements

Speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
Have 1+ years of security experience.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, 9+hours shifts.
Be 21+ years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and promptly notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor and control access points, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and assist with visitor management in accordance with site procedures.
Observe customer and employee activity for irregular conditions, document observations, and report concerns through the established chain of communication.
Complete incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation in a timely manner, maintaining accurate records for management review.
Support opening and closing routines as assigned, including checking doors, alarms, and designated areas for irregular conditions.
Maintain a professional presence, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and provide directions and assistance while enforcing site rules when needed.
