About The Position

As a Security Guard - Credit Union Reception in Newark, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a financial services location, you will be the first point of contact, greeting visitors and staff, managing access and badges, answering questions, and monitoring activity from the lobby. You will document security-related incidents, coordinate communication with site contacts, and use a computer and/or tablet to complete reports. Requirements

Guard Card/License is preferred.
State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.
Customer Service Experience is preferred.
Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and guests at the front desk by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Control access to the location by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized personnel to the appropriate areas.
Monitor lobby activity, entry points, and available security-related systems such as cameras and alarms, and report suspicious or unusual activity to site management and/or appropriate contacts to help to deter incidents.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, assisting with evacuations or shelter-in-place directions when directed, and supporting first responders upon arrival.
Complete accurate reports and documentation such as shift activity logs, incident reports, and access records, and communicate relevant updates during post handoff.
