Job Description As a Security Guard - Hospital Foot Patrol in Springdale, AR , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors through strong communication and customer service, document observations, and report concerns using site tools. Requirements

  • This hospital site requires vaccines.
  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Being able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management by confirming authorization, providing directions, and following check-in requirements per site policy.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns, and document findings in daily activity reports and incident reports.
  • Provide a visible presence to help to deter disorderly conduct and support a respectful environment for care delivery.
  • Assist with patient watch and/or elopement prevention assignments as directed, using observation and prompt reporting to clinical staff when concerns arise.
  • Support clinical and administrative teams during disruptive situations by coordinating communication, maintaining professional boundaries, and following site escalation procedures.
  • Operate communication equipment and/or monitoring systems as assigned, including radios and cameras, and report noteworthy activity per post orders.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials and guiding individuals to appropriate check-in and/or escort processes when required.
  • Assist with lost and found items and property documentation in accordance with site procedures.
  • Participate in required training, briefings, and drills, and follow Allied Universal and site-specific policies while maintaining a professional, customer-focused demeanor.
