As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor flow, respond to calls for assistance, and deliver clear communication and customer service to patients, staff, and guests. Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, disorderly conduct, and service-related concerns.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned buildings, corridors, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Control access at designated entrances and other access points by verifying authorization, assisting with visitor sign-in processes, and directing individuals to appropriate destinations.
Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other facility systems as assigned and report irregular conditions to site leadership and/or appropriate responders.
Assist with de-escalation efforts when interacting with agitated individuals, using verbal techniques and requesting additional support as needed.
Document security-related incidents, observations, and actions taken in daily activity reports and incident reports per site requirements.
Help maintain order in public areas by addressing loitering, smoking in prohibited areas, and other policy concerns through courteous communication and escalation when necessary.
Support patient privacy and confidentiality expectations by limiting the sharing of sensitive information and directing inquiries to appropriate facility staff.
Coordinate with nursing units, facilities teams, and local public services as directed during medical emergencies, fire alarms, and other urgent events.
