About The Position
As a Security Guard Patrol in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail or mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with visitors and tenants, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within the retail or mall environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting emergency response activities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible Allied Universal presence.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to assist with access control and help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
- Observe and report any unusual activities, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, tenants, and staff to address inquiries and provide assistance as required.
- Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols and client requirements.
