You will support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, quick response, and customer service, including in sensitive hospital areas. Requirements

  • Be able to work in a hospital setting where vaccines are present.
  • Have 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security experience.
  • Be able to work in a hospital setting with a morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including support during medical emergencies, behavioral health events, and facility alarms.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of patient care areas, waiting rooms, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to identify suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations.
  • Support access control activities including monitoring entry points, verifying credentials as required, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in locations.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrols, and unusual occurrences, and communicate observations to site leadership and public responders as needed.
