Job Description As a Security Guard - Roving Patrol in Santa Clara, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related issues, and respond to reports with clear communication. You will complete routine rounds, document observations, and support a professional visitor and employee experience. Requirements
- Have at least 6 months of security experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and/or visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders at a technology facility.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
- Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization, and document entries, exits, and deliveries according to site requirements.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to the appropriate contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
- Complete accurate reports and logs, including patrol activity, incident details, and equipment checks, and communicate pertinent information during shift transitions.
