As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, providing a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

An Armed Guard Card or License is required.
Level III Armed Certification is required for Texas only.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the utility facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for and report suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual conditions within the location.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
Control access to restricted areas and verify credentials as required.
Document security-related incidents and complete detailed reports as needed.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
Follow site-specific protocols for handling emergencies and/or critical incidents.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to dynamic situations that may arise in a utility environment.
