Job Description As a Security Guard – Armed School Patrols in Austin, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence within an educational environment. Your role involves monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for an armed patrol role. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment. Monitor and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual occurrences observed during patrols. Interact professionally with students, faculty, staff, and visitors to provide assistance and information as needed. Maintain awareness of surroundings and remain alert to potential security-related concerns specific to an educational environment. Assist with access control and enforce location policies as required. Prepare and submit detailed reports regarding incidents, observations, and activities during assigned shifts. Minimum Requirements: Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree. Hold a Level III armed certification for Texas. CPR certification is preferred. Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Hold a Level III armed certification for Texas.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
