As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and deliver strong customer service and communication with staff and visitors. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years' armed security-related and/or law enforcement and/or military experience.
  • Have an armed guard card/license.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma/GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffs/pepper spray/baton experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
  • Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying authorization as required, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in and/or waiting areas per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site representatives and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Document and report incidents, observations, and patrol findings, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or site contacts per post orders.
