About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Rounds Driver in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a highly visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and unusual activity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed role requiring sound judgment and clear communication. Requirements

  • Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Have 1+ years law enforcement experience or 2+ years security supervisor or manager experience or 3+ years security experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of the interior, exterior, and perimeter areas, including entrances, ATMs, parking areas, and restricted spaces as assigned, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor traffic, verify authorization for entry, and assist with key control, badge control, and/or package screening per site requirements.
  • Respond to alarms, suspicious activity, disturbances, and critical incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and local law enforcement as needed.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and required documentation, and communicate observations and trends to Allied Universal management and the client representative.
