About The Position

As a Security Guard - Mobile Rounds Driver in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to requests with professional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license is required as you move between areas and complete reports. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a utilities location.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and report findings through required communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards.
  • Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification, monitoring visitor sign-in processes, and directing traffic flow as required.
  • Complete security-related reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs, and communicate notable conditions to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
