As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm, clear communication. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity while supporting a caring, people-first culture through teamwork, reliability, and an agile, innovative approach. This is an armed post requiring a valid armed guard card or license.

Requirements

• Have an armed guard card/license.
• Have 6 Months+ Armed Security/Law Enforcement/Military Experience.
• Be 21+ Years of Age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Handcuffs/Pepper Spray/Baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to location staff and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals and belongings at designated entry points using approved screening methods and equipment while maintaining a professional, respectful presence.
• Maintain post readiness as an armed officer by following all licensing requirements, weapon handling protocols, and Allied Universal policies and reporting any concerns through the chain of command.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting public agency partners when needed and completing required notifications.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards, documenting observations and incidents in written and/or electronic reports.
